The Goodrich Club was originally incorporated in 1953 for the purpose of providing low-income students with the opportunity to attend college by reducing room and board costs.  As stated in the articles of incorporation, the Goodrich Club will “provide an opportunity for needy college students to experience group living, to manage their housing facility and to experience financial and governmental responsibility in managing their own affairs on a cooperative non-profit plan.”  

The Goodrich Club has never wavered from this mission.
